Dates October 11, 2014 - October 12, 2014
Description:

From 17th Annual Mount Snow Oktoberfest Website:

Like most German-themed Oktoberfest events, the 17th Annual Mount Snow Oktoberfest will have plenty of beer, schnitzel and Oom-pah music; but throw in kids games, pumpkin painting, an apple sling shot and the famous schnitzel toss and youve got two days of fun for the whole family! A Columbus Day Weekend tradition since 1997, the Mount Snow Oktoberfest is one of our signature festivals and was named a 2014 Top 10 Fall Event by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce .

The Kids Zone is where families will find festival games like the bean bag toss, a huge bouncy house, pumpkin painting and other kid-friendly activities. While the young ones are playing, the big kids can enjoy a large selection of beers from at least 25 different German and domestic breweries as well as authentic German fare served out of Der Markeplatz in the Main Base Lodge and the sausage roast outside of Cuzzins. Plus, try your hand at games like the keg toss, yodeling contest and stein holding as well as a horseshoe tournament.

Online sales are now closed, but you can still buy admission the day of at either the Clock Tower or the Toll Haus.

Scenic Chair Rides on the Bluebird Express

Enhance your Oktoberfest experience by taking a ride to the 3,600-foot summit of Mount Snow aboard North Americas only six passenger bubble lift Bluebird Express. Often referred to as flying couches, the Bluebirds chairs comfortably seat six adults for a smooth ride to the top where you will disembark and have an opportunity to explore the alpine environment. Be sure to bring your camera for some photo ops on the observation deck of the Summit Lodge! Purchase your scenic chair ride tickets at the Clocktower Building, Toll Haus or Mount Snow Sports at the Grand. Save yourself some time and purchase your scenic ride tickets at the window when you pick up your Oktoberfest tickets so you can go right from the festival grounds up the lift.

Summit Lodge Fun during Oktoberfest

Be one of the first people to check out the newly renovated second floor of the Summit Lodge, now known as The Bullwheel Tavern. Enjoy live accordion music, great German beers on tap and a menu of old-world pub food both Saturday and Sunday during Oktoberfest. Prost!
