| Description: | A.I.R. Gallery, New York City, is a women’s gallery founded in 1972. This exhibition samples an exceptional range of contemporary art and focuses on "one true thing" for each artists creative process. As one of the first women’s galleries, A.I.R. Gallery helped shape the women’s art movement in 1970’s. This year is the 35th anniversary. Its ongoing existence is evidence that the women’s art movement was not one point in time, but a continuum, as women redefine themselves in society. | |
