| Description: | The 3rd Annual Catamount Trail Backcountry Race and Tour is 17km and goes from the Trapp Family Touring Center to the Bolton Valley Nordic Center. The course is 30% on groomed trails and 70% on the ungroomed Catamount Trail with a 2300 ft vertical climb and a 1300 ft vertical descent. Participants may race the course or tour the distance in the non-competitive event. The touring category starts at 10:00am and the racing category starts at 11:30am. Race packet pickup will be at Bolton Valley with optional bus transportation to start of race at Trapp Family Lodge. Entry deadline is March 8th. There will be no race day entry. | |
